What I refer to as bar airstones are the long, skinny airstones. There are typically 2 types of bar airstones, the ones that are just airstone and the others that are reinforced with plastic. Air stones are not very durable and break pretty easily, especially the longer ones, so I would highly recommend the ones that reinforced with plastic.
